Accessibility

This site has been designed to be available to the widest audience possible. If you are experiencing problems using any pages, or have any questions and comments about accessibility, please let us know.

All pages are built on semantic XHTML for structure and CSS for presentation, meaning that it should work with just about any web browser. Though there may be visual differences, if your browser does not support CSS standards.

Keyboard Access

You can skip from link to link using the TAB key. The current link will be highlighted in yellow. To move backwards, hold down SHIFT and press the TAB key. At the top of each page there is a selection of links to the main sections of the page (navigation, content,). These links are hidden from visual browsers but available to make the page easier to navigate for screen reader users.

Access Keys

Access Keys provide keyboard shortcuts to common pages on a website. This website does not currently use Access Keys because evidence suggests that they interfere with the keyboard controls of many browsers and screen readers.

Change the font size

All modern browsers allow the user to zoom the entire page rather than just scaling font sizes, for example in Firefox use CTRL and the + key simultaneously to increase the page size and CTRL and the - to decrease the font size. More information on scaling text in other browsers.

Web Standards

This site will work fine in Internet Explorer 6 however please consider upgrading to a more modern browser. Newer browsers provide you with a significantly faster more full featured and secure user experience.

The following browsers are free, easy to install and have good support for recent advances in web standards.
