CMA seeks an experienced Senior Software Developer to join the product development team. The successful candidate will have 6+ years of hands-on experience with the full software lifecycle from conception through design and implementation to support and maintenance. The candidate will have experience with high-performance desktop, client / server and / or web software. The role will involve design, implementation, and management for the DataVision and QuoteVision products as well as new product lines.
The Senior Developer will be involved in every aspect of the software product lifecycle as well helping with the evolution of the current software processes. The candidate will have an influential role in the definition and implementation of CMA’s next generation products.
The role is hands-on requiring coding as well as system design skills. The candidate will be exposed to every aspect of the CMA business from Sales to Product Design / Implementation to Support.

- Ability to quickly understand functional requirements and translate into sound designs
- Manage multiple taks to deadline, both in support and development
- Client focused witha 'hands on' attitude, strong communication and presentation skills
Required skills and experience will include:
- 6+ Years OO language
- 2+ Years experience of .Net / C#
- Object orientated design, including GoF Patterns
- XML Technologies (3+ Years): XML, XML Schema, XLST
- Database technologies (5+ Years): MS SQL and / or Oracle
- Web Application Design, including Model / View / Controller
Preferred Skills will include:
- Knowledge of message systems i.e. Websphere MQ / MS MQ
- Knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft Office Integration and COM
- Experience working with lightweight framework technologies; including Spring and Hibernate
- Understanding of product versioning, packaging and deployment
- Database optimization / performance tuning
- BS or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent)
- 2-3 years of experience in the financial services industry
